Disclaimer & Visitor Acknowledgement

1) Purpose of this website
This website provides general, educational information about Indian legal procedures and our areas of practice. It is not an advertisement, personal communication, or a solicitation of work. The material is designed to help visitors understand processes in broad terms, not to advise on any specific facts or case.

2) No legal advice; no lawyer–client relationship
Nothing on this site—including articles, FAQs, checklists, videos, downloads, automated replies, or illustrative timelines—constitutes legal advice. Do not act or refrain from acting based on site content without seeking professional advice tailored to your circumstances. Accessing or using this site does not create a lawyer–client relationship with Thukral Law Associates or any of its advocates. A lawyer–client relationship arises only after: (i) conflict and KYC checks, (ii) matter acceptance, and (iii) an engagement letter issued by us and signed by you.

3) Jurisdiction, licensing & foreign law
We are an Indian law firm. We do not hold ourselves out as licensed to practice the laws of any jurisdiction outside India. For matters involving non-Indian law, we coordinate with or recommend engaging qualified counsel admitted in the relevant foreign jurisdiction. Any references to foreign processes are general and should not be construed as foreign law advice.

4) Cross-border & NRI matters
Cross-border procedures (service abroad, apostille/notarisation, recognition/enforcement, immigration and travel issues, etc.) involve multiple authorities and variable timelines. Requirements can change without notice. Our role is limited to Indian law and coordination within a mutually agreed scope. You remain responsible for meeting foreign law requirements unless our written engagement explicitly includes foreign counsel coordination.

5) Engagement conditions: conflicts, KYC & scope
We may decline or terminate a potential engagement at our discretion where conflicts, KYC/AML concerns, sanctions restrictions, jurisdictional issues, or other professional grounds arise. Engagement scope, deliverables, communication protocols, fees/retainers, and billing arrangements are set out only in the written engagement letter. Any fee quotes shared before engagement are illustrative and subject to revision after fuller review.

6) Communication channels (email, phone, WhatsApp, forms, scheduling tools)
Electronic communications carry risks (delay, misdelivery, interception, technical failure). Do not send confidential or privileged information until we request it after conflict/KYC clearance. WhatsApp and similar apps are third-party tools; message content may be processed by those providers under their terms. Calls may be routed through cloud telephony; basic metadata may be logged. If you require encrypted channels, tell us before sharing sensitive information.

7) Response times & time-sensitive matters
Submitting a query or booking a slot does not guarantee representation or immediate action. If a hearing, limitation period, deadline, or urgent risk is involved, you must seek timely legal assistance; we cannot ensure action unless and until we are formally engaged.

8) No guarantees; illustrative timelines only
Case strategies, timelines, and likely filings are illustrations. Courts, tribunals, registries, and revenue/municipal offices operate with their own schedules and backlogs. We make no warranties—express or implied—regarding outcomes, timelines, or procedural milestones.

9) Accuracy & updates
While we aim to keep information current and accurate, laws, rules, court practices, government portals, and official forms change frequently. Content may become outdated or incomplete. We are not obliged to update any material on this site.

10) Third-party links, embeds & tools
Links or embeds (court portals, map locations, payment gateways, calendar tools, document upload services, messaging links, video platforms, news/media articles) are provided for convenience only. We do not control or endorse third-party content, security, privacy practices, or availability. Access and use are at your own risk and subject to the third party’s terms.

11) Intellectual property & permitted use
Unless stated otherwise, all content on this site (text, graphics, logos, downloads, and layout) is our intellectual property. You may view, print, and download materials for personal, non-commercial use with attribution and without modification. Any other use—including scraping, training datasets, automated extraction, framing, or republication—requires our prior written consent.

12) Privacy, data handling & cookies (high-level)
We collect limited personal data that you voluntarily submit (e.g., name, contact details, matter type) to respond to your queries and manage scheduling. We may use standard analytics (e.g., aggregated traffic metrics), performance cookies, and pixels to understand site usage and improve user experience. Where feasible, analytics are configured to avoid storing unnecessary personal identifiers.

  • • Do not share confidential details until requested post-conflict check.
  • • We may store your submissions and communications in secure systems located in or outside India, with appropriate protections.
  • • You can request correction or deletion of your contact details unless retention is required by law or for professional records.

See our dedicated Privacy Policy for granular details on categories, lawful bases, transfers, retention, cookies, and your choices.

13) Downloads, uploads & security
Files made available for download are provided “as is.” We do not warrant they are free of viruses/malicious code. Use up-to-date antivirus and verify file integrity. Where document uploads are enabled, do not upload executable files or content that you are not legally entitled to share. We may scan, block, or delete files to maintain security.

14) Payments, retainers & refunds (if applicable)
Any online payment links/gateways are for convenience. A payment alone does not create an engagement unless accompanied by an engagement letter. Retainers are applied against professional time/expenses per the engagement terms. Refunds, if any, are governed by those terms and applicable law.

15) Prohibited use
You agree not to: (i) attempt to breach or test site security; (ii) use automated bots to harvest data; (iii) submit unlawful, defamatory, or infringing content; (iv) misrepresent your identity or authority; (v) use the site in violation of applicable laws or professional conduct rules.

16) Limitation of liability

17) Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Thukral Law Associates and its members from any claims, liabilities, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the site, violation of these terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.
